Celebrating my birthday at Cherie with my family after a long time turned out to be far more special than I had imagined. The moment we walked in, the ambience felt right, beautifully lit, stylishly designed, and warm in a way that made us relax instantly. It has that premium feel, but without being stiff or intimidating. Since this birthday meant a great deal to me, we booked a table in advance, and the team truly made the evening unforgettable. They arranged everything thoughtfully and even surprised me with a small celebratory pastry, a simple gesture that made the night feel personal. We started with Le Grand Noir Pinot Noir, and honestly, it was fantastic, smooth, rich, and deeply enjoyable. A wine I’d happily recommend to anyone who loves a good red. For starters, we tried the Chimichurri Prawns. They were bursting with flavour and quite spicy because of the green chillies on top. If you enjoy heat, you’ll love them; if not, you might want to go easy. Either way, it’s a bold, well-crafted dish that stands out. Then came the sushi, and this is where Cherie really impressed us. The Crispy Fried Chicken Sushi with Spicy Katsu Sauce was simply incredible. The Volcano Sushi with Caviar Dressings was to die for, and the Flamin’ Hot Guacamole Salmon was on another level altogether, beautifully presented and unforgettable in taste. For mains, we went with Nasi Goreng Prawns, and it genuinely transported me to Indonesia. The flavours were layered, comforting, and just stunning. We also had Junglee Murg from the Indian menu, clay oven roasted chicken in a rich, aromatic curry, paired with Garlic Butter Naan and Chilli Garlic Naan. Pure comfort done beautifully. Dessert was a New York-style cheesecake, and it was absolutely delicious - creamy, balanced, and the perfect way to end the meal. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The service was amazing, especially by Jobrul and Niwash, who was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Caribean 🥭Mango Mocktail- was creamy and delicious with the dates and mango Virgin Piña🍍 Colada- tasted lovely Asparagus Tempura Blue Rice Sushi🍣- tasted different. The blue rice with the crispy tempura on top was so tasty. Peri Peri cottage🍛cheese steak- was tasty and the paneer with the quinoa was different. The roasted 🥔 potatoes with the buttered asparagus was a good accompaniment. The Peri peri sauce was smooth and 🧀 cheesy. The staff was excellent and the service was quick.
